Wild Mind Writing Group of Hilo

Piper Selden is a Wild Woman, writer, and self-proclaimed worm wrestler. A member of HIWA, Hawaii Island Writers Association, she is Co-Chair for HIWA's Salon series, which meets the third Friday of each month at Art in the Ironworks gallery. Piper is also an editor for Hohonu, a non-fiction academic journal and the facilitator for the Wild Mind Writing Group of Hilo.

Piper lives in Hilo with her two children, husband, and geriatric cat. Her writing includes fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Piper's work has been published in magazines, newspapers, small presses, and organizations nationwide. Certification as a Master Composter makes Piper a popular public speaker and environmental educator in Hawaii. Her composting book will be available in Summer 2007.
